Fantastic learning

We have had another fantastic week of learning in 4T. In English we have learnt an exciting warning tale called ‘Keep off the tracks’. I was very impressed with how well everyone joined in with the actions. In Maths, we learnt how to represent numbers to 10,000. As Scientists, we investigated the different types of teeth and what they could tell us about whether an animal is a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. 4T also showed me there brilliant debating skills in RE, where we were discussing what the term to ‘fish for people’ meant in relation to the story of Jesus calling his first disciples.

An amazing first week…

We have had a fantastic first week in 4T! I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone and getting ourselves back into our daily routines.

The children have been working incredibly hard in many different subject areas. In our English sessions, we have been learning ‘The Book’ by Michael Rosen. The children’s enthusiasm and ability to learn the poem so quickly has been amazing and they have enjoyed performing it to each other. Within our Maths learning we have been looking at place value by using base ten to create 3-digit numbers.

A couple of key things for next week: P.E. will take place on Tuesdays so the children will be able to come into school wearing their P.E. kits. Reading scheme books were given out this week and we will be expecting the children to read at least three times every week.
